October 2018: The students at University of Kassel are starting with their work. In November 2018 the project is being presented and discussed at an open council in Dessau. The students are starting to reconstruct the historical plans.

April 2018: The University of Kassel / Prof. Philipp Oswalt is proposing to the City of Dessau-Roßlau to reconstruct the Growing House by Ludwig Hilberseimer at its historical location. In July 2018 a first meeting with deputy Robert Reck and the city councilors Thomas Busch and Ralf Schönemann takes place

2017: The Laubenganghäuser in Dessau Törten are being proclaimed world cultural heritage. The University of Kassel is starting a research project on the houses following a suggestion by the housing cooperative Dessau. This sparked the idea for the project of the Growing House
